Social Work

 Professional Report Writing Skill: Social Review Report

The form, which is created within the framework of a specialization by social workers, is called the Social Review Report for the activities that will be carried out and to be made during the social service implementation.

In social work, this form provides a serious responsibility for the professional staff, which enables the respondents to respond to the needs of the client and to make decisions in a specific systematic way to improve the situation of the client. However, many professionals who are not aware of this responsibility or have not yet reached this consciousness can operate in the field and lead to wrong practices. For this reason, the Ministry of Family, Labor and Social Services published the Social Review Outline in order to provide a certain standardization. Through this outline, professional staff will pay attention to what features they should prioritize in the reports they will write about, what is important and which elements should be stated.
Writing and Professional Language;
The information obtained from the interviews, file information, reports, petitions, observations written before are used. The date, number and content of the file, interview, petition or report must be clearly stated when transmitting this information.
he language of the report should be in the form of an official written language. For example; Person F has applied to our institution with his petition no 123456 dated 12.12.2018.  As a result of the house visit on 14.12.2018 and the interviews held at the institution, the person stated that he wanted to give named Y who was born on 10.11.2017 and had difficulty in taking care of the child.
The sentence can also be written as follows; … it has been stated / stated that he / she has difficulty dealing with the child's care.
