Istanbul Gelisim University School of Health Science with the decision of the Council of Ministers numbered 2012/3620 dated 08.08.2012 and published in the Official Gazette No. 28407 dated 10.09.2012, started to Education-Teaching in 2012-2013.

In the 2012-2013 academic year, students accepted to departments Nursing, Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation, Nutrition and Dietetics, Child Development and Social Work.

With the addition of the Department of Audiology in the 2013-2014 academic year, School of Health Science consisted of six departments.

With the addition of Departments of Healthcare Management and Management of Health Instituties in 2014-2015 academic year, School of Health Science consisted of  total of eight departments.(With the Decision of YÖK in 2015, these two departments were merged under the name of Healthcare Management)

In addition; In the 2014-2015 academic year, School of Health Science were twelve departments with the addition of English departments which opened firstly as Nursing, Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation, Nutrition and Dietetics, Child Development, Social Work.

In the 2015-2016 academic year was added Department of Ergotherapy and School of Health Science were total of thirteen departments.

In the 2017-2018 academic year, School of Health Science were total of fifteen departments with the addition Departments of Orthotic Prosthesis and Departments of Perfusion.

In the 2018-2019 academic year, School of Health Science were total of seventeen departments with the addition Departments of Gerontology and Departments of Speech and Language Therapy.

On 15.02.2018, 13 department received full accreditation by Accreditation Agency of the AHPGS (Accreditation Agency in the Area of Health and Social Sciences). You can access from accreditation information on the AHPGS Web Page.

In 2019-2020 academic year, School of Health Science continue to education with 3000+ students.
