 WORLD HUMAN RIGHTS DAY: TOTALLY VIEW OF HUMAN RIGHTS


Department of Social Work of the School of Health Sciences organizes the World Human Rights Day Panel as part of a holistic approach to human rights.


Social work which aim to provide protection and development opportunities by formation a social structure and protecting human dignity in the society, is known as a human rights profession based on the assumption that every person is valuable.
Today, the rights-based approach, which is accepted as valid in social work, argues that every human being has the right and the theories, ethics, values and practices of the social work discipline begin with the acceptance of human rights. The human rights discourse in social work emphasizes the need to define and support basic rights and ensure that each person is entitled to enjoy these rights without discrimination.
In this context, the World Human Rights Day Panel will be held on 10.12.2018 at 10:00 to 15:30 with two sessions in the GSF Conference Hall and with the participation and contributions of 4 speakers, each of whom are experts in their respective fields. Each speaker will address the different dimensions of human rights.
