Dr. Necip Ozan Tiryakioğlu stated that the most important feature of the Erasmus program is to encourage the exchange of students, academics and administrative staff. He said: “We attach importance to exchange programs for international experience and reputation. Programs contribute to research and the formation of science.”
Within the scope of Erasmus Teaching Staff Mobility program, Dr. Milda Gintiliene from Kauno Kolegija/ University of Applied Sciences visited Gelisim University School of Health Sciences/ Physical Thrapy and Rehabilitation Department. Visiting scholar Dr. Milda Gintiliene said Erasmus opportunities are very important for academic staff of universities.
She mentioned that academicians could find new cultural and scientific research areas by going to universities in different geographies. She said: “Universities can gain new experience from international cooperation. Therefore, I was excited before coming to İstanbul Gelişim University. We met with my colleagues and discussed how we can cooperate.
Dr. Gintiliene gave a seminar about aging to university students and emphasized the importance of physiotherapy in human life.
Chairman of the Board of Trustees Abdulkadir Gayretli stated that İstanbul Gelişim University is taking successful steps towards becoming a multicultural and multinational world university. He said: “Exchange programs allow us to introduce ourselves to the world at the point of internationalization. Faculty members coming from different nationalities and geographies to our university are affected by the opportunities offered to academicians and students of İstanbul Gelişim University. Exchange programs also poses considerable importance for interact different cultures and the promotion of Turkey.”
