Head of Ergotherapy Department Assist Prof. Gulsah Kinali made a presentation at the Ergotherapy Student Symposium at Bezmialem University. In the symposium attended by the students and academicians of the Ergotherapy Department of all Universities in our country.
Gulsah Kinali gave a presentation on ‘The Place of Lean Manufacturing and Kaizen System in Ergonomics Intervention Programs. Gulsah Kinali said: ‘Occupational diseases are one of the most important problems experienced by the production employees. Due to measures not taken in time, many workers have to quit their jobs due to occupational disease, and functional and health related losses prevent them from gaining a profession again in their future life and cause the individual to get away from society. Occupational disease is a social issue that affects not only the employees, but also the employer, the employee's family and friends. It is important to increase the level of social peace by increasing the level of happiness of individuals and by making them more humane. For this reason, as the Department of Ergotherapy, we tried to create awareness by referring to the Ergotherapy Therapy Symposium. Both students and academics were met with great interest. We will continue to share our knowledge in different scientific activities as Department of Ergotherapy.
