There is some misinformation about nutrition that has become widespread and considered true among the public. You can find some of these myths in our news.


'If you eat fish and yoghurt together, it will be poisoned.'

Fish and yogurt, which have lost their freshness, have the “histamine” amino acid. When consuming seafood, make sure it is fresh.

 

‘'Light / Dietary products can be consumed freely in diet.'

Most packs of dietary products contain nutrient sweeteners. With these foods you consume without portion control, your calorie intake increases and you gain weight rather than losing weight.

 

'' Starving helps lose weight. ''

If you starve your body for a long time, your metabolic rate will decrease to the lowest level to protect your body. This slows down or even stops your fat breakdown.

 

‘‘ Tea, cola and coffee etc. drinks replace water. "

These drinks can never replace water. They even increase the excretion of water from the body.

 

"Fruit consists of sugar only."

Fruits are known as natural sugar; it also contains significant amounts of vitamins, minerals and fiber. Fruit is the source of these nutrients and you should definitely include it in your daily diet.

 

‘‘ Walnuts, almonds, hazelnuts, etc. nuts contain a lot of fat and calorie. ''

These nuts are; Contains omega 3 fatty acids. Fatty acids that cannot be produced in the body are very important for your brain and nervous system development. It is recommended to consume it in your daily diet after performing the required portion control.

 

 “Consuming cabbage speeds up the body system and provides weight loss. ''

Vegetables such as cabbage, leeks, and broccoli help healthy nutrition as they help to remove harmful toxins from the body. These nutrients do not have a feature to speed up metabolism.

 

"Drinking water besides food makes you fat."

Drinking water during meals does not add weight, on the contrary, it helps soothe appetite. Only those with digestive problems should not drink water during meals.

 

'' Consuming parsley juice will lose weight. ''

Parsley has a diuretic effect. Due to the loss of urine, a person feels lighter, but it does not benefit weight loss and fat tissue.
