Istanbul Gelisim University Lösev Club Promotion Days

The club booths for the promotion days were set up respectively at Gelisim University Vocational High School on December 10, at Gelisim University Rectorate Building on December 11, at Gelisim Tower on December 12 and at Faculty of Fine Arts on December 13. Nutrition and Dietetics students are a member of Lösev Club; as well as students from the Departments of Architecture, Psychology and Social Work. The club's president is Sinem Altındiş, the second-year Nutrition and Dietetics English Track student.

Sinem Altundiş, the president of the Lösev Club, provided us with information about the club, explaning how to join the club in addition to about upcoming events and activities. "As Istanbul Gelişim University Lösev Club, we founded our club in 2016. The aims of the club are; to support cancer patients, to create a healthy life awareness, to create a sense of social responsibility in individuals. In order to realize these aims, we visit regular hospital visits to oncology and haematology services 3 days a week. Also, we organize activities for children with cancer and try to make the time they spend in the hospital fun. We organize events and conferences together to create awareness of cancer.

On special days (April 23 National Sovereignty and Children's Day, Children's Week with Leukemia etc.), we come together with our children and volunteers and make parties. In special periods such as the month of Ramadan, we send  food provisions for cancer patients. We conduct regular volunteer meetings and ensure that our members are integrated.”, she said.
