Investigations continue on the plane leaving the runway

3 people died on the plane that made the Izmir-Istanbul flight and left the runway at 18.19 on Wednesday evening. Works continued during the night in the wreckage of the aircraft. Today, examinations are being made on the plane. While the investigations continue on the plane carrying 183 people and leaving the runway while landing at Sabiha Gökçen Airport, Space Engineer Asst. Prof. Dr. Haluk Kul shared the way in which the studies were followed.

"THERE MAY BE MISTAKES AND NEGLIGENCE"

Arriving at the region where the wreckage of the plane is located, Certified Aircraft - Space Engineer from Istanbul Gelisim University Asst. Prof. Dr. Haluk Kul stated that the results of the report about the incident will become clear over time. Kul said:

“The reason why the soft landing is not preferred is that water stops as a film layer. It can cut the wheel like a razor. In addition, it can prevent the braking by friction force by pressing on the wheels of the aircraft. For this reason, it is desired to perform friction with full capacity with a relatively felt fit in the first touch. Apart from that, it is necesssary to examine whether with the effect of both the horizontal and up-down, which also has the effect of tail wind, the nose of the plane rose up, the angle of attack has changed and the carrying force has been removed for a moment. We are not looking for criminals. There is a positive safety culture in aviation. There may be mistakes and negligence. If there is not a neglience but a mistake, the person who made the mistake should be able to report it. Subsequent investigations will be made. Reports from flight crew, cabin crew, and the tower will be received. The flight data recorders will be matched with cockpit voice recorders and the correct situation will be achieved in the order of months or even years.”
