 IGU Nutrition Seminar, Diabetic Criteria for Diagnosis and Cut-Off Values

The seminar "Diabetic Criteria for Diagnosis and Cut-Off Values" ,organized by the Department of Nutrition and Dietetics (English) on 21 November 2017 in Taskent Conference Hall
The seminar "Diabetic Criteria for Diagnosis and Cut-Off Values" ,organized by the Department of Nutrition and Dietetics (English) on 21 November 2017 in Taskent Conference Hall, Dr. Fatma Ela Keskin joined. Seminar organized for the scope of Week of Diabetes Mellitus; Assoc. Dr. Keskin pointed out the TURDEP study in our country, and shared the results of the increased frequency of diabetes and prediabetes.  In terms of the methods and criteria used to diagnose diabetes, Keskin gave information about appropriate treatments, focusing on differences in prediotic stages, especially impaired fasting glucose and glucose tolerance. Keskin emphasized the success of dietary changes in the treatment, and also talked about how to interpret laboratory tests and the frequency of rational testing. Seminar ended by presenting a plaque from Assist. Prof. Dr. B. Gökçe Çöl, Head of Department of Nutrition and Dietetics (English), and Lecturer Eda Merve Kurtuluş to Keskin.
