Dear Students and Prospective Students,

İstanbul Gelişim University, School of Health Sciences was established in the 2012-2013 academic year. Today, as a respected institution it continues its education and training activities with 17 departments, it trains experts for the health sector in various fields. Thanks to its universal and multidisciplinary approaches, scientific and technological education methods, and application centers, our university competes with the leading institutions of the sector and it is among the universities primarily preferred by students. While our corporate values make our school a leading institution, our graduates as successful and competent individuals have become the sought-after names in the health sector.

İstanbul Gelişim University School of Health Sciences is an educational institution that implements world-class education and training programs for the healthcare industry that is developing and growing on a global scale in the identified contemporary human profile. It aims to raise individuals who are open to scientific and technological developments, produce projects with the opportunities offered, do research and development, contribute to their professional competencies and the needs of society with their work, and also individuals who are committed to moral and ethical values, are able to act globally and freely, are rational, can think analytically and critically, have high communication skills, serve at national and international levels, have academic knowledge and experience, are able to constantly renew and develop themselves, and are sensitive to their environment and society.

In line with the goals we set, as the School of Health Sciences, we educate our students with the knowledge and skills that bring them professional expertise with our qualified academic staff in all our departments and we offer suitable working environments. We continue our education with our departments accredited by AHPGS (Accreditation Agency in Health and Social Sciences) for international validity of our diplomas. In the light of all the knowledge and skills we have acquired, we also successfully accomplish our mission of raising qualified and successful healthcare personnel needed by the health sector, which has gained great momentum after the 1990s.

Our primary desires are to be a part of global change in our education and training activities, which we carry out with great devotion and stability, to move our school and students forward, to take firm steps in line with the goals we set, and to maintain our determination and excitement like the first day. We can say that the success that has achieved in Times Higher Education (THE) Impact Ranking 2020 known as the Higher Education Oscar is one of the fruits of this desire (201-300 Health and Wellness/ 2020 Impact Value 400-600 /In the Education Quality, IGU has been 96th in the world and first rank in Turkey.).

It is a fact that we will have a different place in the world if we can have an important place in society with the work we do in our lifetime. All employees of İstanbul Gelişim University are glad to spend effort with our students in order to get this different place.
